Do I really need baseline data…

when my students sing and dance everytime they don’t understand my lesson? Is this the best use of my time? Is live-blogging the best use of my time?

I remember a piece of advice I received at Institute when I was having behavior management issues.

“Just Teach.”

So true. Having a lesson that made sense and was delivered well did more to curb the ridiculousness than anything (and everything) else I could do. I don’t care about trends. My teachers didn’t graph my behavior and do regression analysis. They hit me in the face with knowledge and expected me to learn it. If I didn’t get it, they threw it at me again and expected me to catch it. I came to teach, not apply statistically significant behavior tracking methods.
